As reported by both NBC News and the Cybercast News Service, the Obama Administration has reached its latest goal of resettling 10,126 Syrian refugees here in the United States. But there happens to be quite a bit more to the story than a rather sterile number keyboarded on an internet news article.

Leading the pack on the total number re-settled was the state a Michigan. At least 1,036 will be headed to the greater Detroit area, to include the heavily Muslim populated city of Dearborn.

However, buried in the NBC report was a listing of the states who have taken in none of the new arrivals. Among the small handful of states with no refugees just so happen to include Hawaii and Delaware.

For those who may have missed the connection, those are the home states of Barack Obama and Joe Biden, respectively.

While NBC may have glossed over that fact, CNSNews wasn’t quite as shy hammering home a different set of numbers. Specifically, just how many Syrian Christians have been allowed into the United States.

Of the total number of Syrians admitted, a mere 0.51 percent of those are Christians. As cited by CNSNews;

As of mid-afternoon eastern time on Monday, 224 new Syrian refugee arrivals have been reported. That lifts the total this fiscal year to 10,126, of whom 52 or 0.51 percent are Christians; and 9,945 or 98.2 percent, are Sunni Muslims.

As noted by the BBC, prior to the Syrian Civil War and subsequent invasion by Islamic jihadists, the percentage of Syrian Christians was roughly 10 percent of the nation.

The vast majority of Syrian Christians are either Catholics (Roman, Melkite, Maronite, and Chaldean Rites) or Orthodox (Greek, Syriac, Armenian).
