Forbes: Obamacare site dysfunctional on purpose; Dems hiding high cost of health coverage

obamacare-screw-you-e1380060277255The government has spent over $600 million of taxpayer money over three years to produce a site that Forbes says is dysfunctional on purpose.

According to Forbes, the site doesn’t work because Obama’s HHS doesn’t want you to see the true cost of health coverage under Obamacare.

Forbes reported:

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

“A growing consensus of IT experts, outside and inside the government, have figured out a principal reason why the website for Obamacare’s federally-sponsored insurance exchange is crashing. Healthcare.gov forces you to create an account and enter detailed personal information before you can start shopping. This, in turn, creates a massive traffic bottleneck, as the government verifies your information and decides whether or not you’re eligible for subsidies. HHS bureaucrats knew this would make the website run more slowly. But they were more afraid that letting people see the underlying cost of Obamacare’s insurance plans would scare people away.”
“HHS didn’t want users to see Obamacare’s true costs,” Forbes said.
Initially, the site was going to let people browse before registering, but

Christopher Weaver and Louise Radnofsky said in the Wall Street Journal that option was delayed.
Why?
“An HHS spokeswoman said the agency wanted to ensure that users were aware of their eligibility for subsidies that could help pay for coverage, before they started seeing the prices of policies,” they said.
Avik Roy went on to say that a Manhattan Institute analysis he helped conduct found that, on average, “the cheapest plan offered in a given state, under Obamacare, will be 99 percent more expensive for men, and 62 percent more expensive for women, than the cheapest plan offered under the old system. And those disparities are even wider for healthy people.”
In sort, the entire program was designed from the beginning to hurt the American people.  It’s becoming a recurring theme in this administration.
Rush Limbaugh said Monday:
“See, Obamacare was not designed to help healthy people with average incomes get health insurance.  It’s designed to force those people to pay more.  Healthy people with average incomes get soaked in Obamacare, but the Forbes story says the website got bogged down so that they wouldn’t figure that out at this stage of the game because, of course, it was sold as either free or cheaper for everybody.”
Now, Obama and the Democrats are holding the entire country hostage to ensure this law is fully implemented.  And there are more than a few Republicans helping make it happen by demonizing conservatives like Ted Cruz and Mike Lee.
