On Tuesday, WKYC reported that Julio Pino, a Kent State associate history professor, is under investigation by the FBI and the Department of Homeland Security for alleged involvement with ISIS, the radical Islamic group taking large areas of land in Iraq and Syria while murdering everyone with whom it disagrees. Pino, reports say, has denied the allegations.
KentWired.com added:
A joint terrorism task force has been investigating Pino for the last year and a half, said an FBI special agent who did not wish to be named for safety reasons.
“There is no direct threat to the university,” the agent said.
Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?
The agent said they interviewed several faculty members and more than 20 of Pino’s students Tuesday about his alleged involvement. He is also being investigated for allegedly recruiting students to join ISIS.
The school says it is fully cooperating with the investigation.
“As this is an ongoing investigation, we will have no further comment,” said Kent State spokesman Eric Mansfield. “The FBI has assured Kent State that there is no threat to campus.”

I thought this guy seemed familiar. Twitchy provided a bit more information on this guy that is quite interesting…
Pino, a convert to Islam, includes on his CV the articles “Born in The Fist of the Revolution: A Cuban Professor’s Journey to Allah” and “How a Cuban Embraced Islam.”
Twitchy’s sister site Townhall.com attempted to contact Pino in 2007 about his “Global War” blog, which reportedly was self-described as “a jihadist news service” that provides “battle dispatches, training manuals, and jihad videos to our brothers worldwide.” Pamela Gellar, who recently sponsored the “Draw Muhammad” contest in Garland, Texas that attracted two unsuccessful assailants, published an extensive write-up of Pino in 2012, recounting an incident when he allegedly shouted “Death to Israel!” at a lecture by a former Israeli diplomat.
In a 2013 interview with the American Historical Association, Pino included among his interests “My family, here and in Cuba, Islam, freedom for the Palestinians, and 1970s classic rock.”
And to think this is what’s indoctrinating, er, “educating,” our children…
