Having failed in every other effort to keep President-elect Donald Trump out of the White House, a gaggle of far-left Hollywood celebrities joined with Communists and domestic terrorist Bill Ayers to call for a “month of resistance” to “stop” the incoming Trump administration.

“No! In the Name of Humanity We Refuse to Accept a Fascist America!” reads a full-page ad placed in the New York Times on Wednesday by the group Refuse Fascism.
“Donald Trump, the President-elect, is assembling a regime of grave danger,” the ad says. “Millions of people in the US and around the world are filled with deep anxiety, fear, and disgust. Our anguish is right and just. Our anger must now become massive resistance –before Donald Trump is inaugurated and has the full reins of power in his hands.”
“The Trump regime must and can be stopped before it starts!” the ad says. The group urged supporters to “step up the resistance: walkouts from schools and work, protests against attacks and threats on Muslims, women, people of color, LBGT people – all linked to the objective of Stopping the Trump/Pence regime. The struggle must grow.”
The organization regards Trump’s presidency as “illegitimate,” and says the incoming administration will capitalize on the various “virulent movements of white supremacy and anti-immigrant hysteria” on the rise in America.
The group’s “plan” includes encouraging organizers to hold protests in Washington D.C. in the days leading up to Trump’s inauguration.
“Fill the streets of DC with millions, millions more demonstrate in every major city and small town all over US and the world, demanding that Trump-Pence be prevented from taking office before January 20,” the ad says.
In addition to Ayers, the group’s list of initiators include Carl Dix, a founding member of the Revolutionary Communist Party, USA, and Cornell West, a far-left professor.
Rosie O’Donnell, Debra Messing, Ed Asner and Michael Shannon are among the celebrities listed on the ad. Shannon caused a bit of a stir in November when he said it’s time for Trump voters to die.
“There’s a lot of old people who need to realize they’ve had a nice life, and it’s time for them to move on. Because they’re the ones who go out and vote for these a**holes,” he said. “If you look at the young people, between 18 and 25, if it was up to them Hillary would have been president. No offense to the seniors out there. My mom’s a senior citizen. But if you’re voting for Trump, it’s time for the urn.”
The group also plans to go after Twitter on Saturday. According to its website:
By giving voice to madmen and Nazis, Twitter is endangering lives all around the world for profit. Show them the cost of their actions by lying down “dead” in front of their corporate office. Bring a small sign to hold on the ground with a tweet that endangered a life (such as Donald’s one above). If Twitter wishes to do business in a socially responsible city such as San Francisco, the company must take responsibility for its actions.
It’s going to be an interesting four years, to say the least…
