During a Trump campaign event in Iowa on Sunday, a turban-wearing protester was escorted out after unfurling a banner that read, “Stop Hate.”
Trump, reports said, responded to the protester as he often does and asked, “He wasn’t wearing one of those hats, was he?”
Naturally, CAIR and the Democrat-media complex jumped the shark, accusing Trump of “mocking” the protester for wearing a turban:

But it turns out that’s not what Trump was doing at all, as Mediaite reported:
UPDATE: Based on the C-SPAN/MSNBC video below, it appears that Trump was talking about a Make America Great Again hat when he made the comment, and one of the protesters only happened to be wearing a turban.
“Happened” to be wearing a turban. In other words, the so-called “mainstream media” got it wrong and once again demonstrated why we call it the “Democrat-media complex.”
Twitchy added: “Time for CAIR and the MSM outlets that reported this as ‘mocking’ to apologize.”
We second that. But we’re not gonna hold our breath…
