The Border Patrol arrested a Kuwaiti man named Munir Othman Issa aka Munir Dawud near La Joya, Texas on Saturday.  He has been charged with illegal re-entry.  Still think we don’t need a wall?

Issa had been deported previously on May 2, 2006 after being convicted of Possession of a Controlled Substance in 2005.  His sentence was 5 years probation. Then he was deported formally on May 2, 2006 through Chicago, Illinois. The question is, where was he deported to?

Generally, under deportation law, the person is returned to the country they came from, not necessarily the country they ORIGINALLY came from. In Issa’s case would that mean he was deported to Mexico or home to Kuwait?

Deportation is a legal proceeding that can carry with it a ban to ever return to the United States. It hasn’t stopped people. It’s also true that many Middle Eastern men look similar to Mexican nationals. It’s by language, training and documentation (if there is any) that agents determine what is occurring with an illegal alien captured at the border.

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

Middle Eastern men have been coming across the United States border, many of them with forged passports. Six men from Pakistan and Afghanistan were arrested 16 miles inside the US. Last year, Syrian nationals were reported at the Mexican border with Laredo.  Five more Syrians were discovered at the Laredo crossing a year later.

About 35 countries, including Egypt, Yemen, and North Africa have been detained, and although true, Politifact claims that any suggestion of them being terrorists is “exaggerated.” The CBP calls them SIAs- Special Interest Aliens.

Do we really know what the intentions are for these Middle Eastern males? We can’t know until it might be too late. The purpose of Trump’s travel ban was to prevent the “too late” scenario.  It’s more than just banning travel from those terrorist-prone countries, it’s about preventing another San Bernardino attack.
