Bernie Sanders to supporter: Act in an ‘unprecedented’ way to stop Republicans — Video

During a Facebook Live event on Monday, Vermont socialist Bernie Sanders urged a supporter to “act in an unprecedented way,” and to “fight back” in every way possible to stop Republicans from passing a health care bill intended to replace Obamacare.

The comment comes on the heels of an attempted mass murder of Republicans by one of his supporters who managed to severely wound Rep. Steve Scalise, R-La.

According to NTK:

After last week’s shooting at the GOP congressional baseball practice, Washington came to a consensus that the rhetoric in our political system needed to be toned down. Democrats have been especially vocal in pointing to past comments by the president.

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

But the question is: where is the line? What if a Democrat challenges supporters to “act in an unprecedented way,” go “big,” “fight back in every way,” and accuses one side of literally harming “millions of people”?

That’s exactly the type of comments Sens. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) and Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) made during a Facebook Live event on Monday while answering questions about Republican efforts to repeal and replace Obamacare.

During the question-and-answer portion of the program, Sanders told a person that “we’ve got to stand up and fight back. We have got to be involved in the political process in a way that we have never been before, because what is happening in Washington right now is unprecedented.”

“So you have got to, Mary, act in an unprecedented way, think big, get involved in every way that you can,” Sanders said. “So, Mary, stand up and fight back in every way that you can.”

Here’s video of his statement:

NTK added:

Sanders also called Republicans “cowardly” for not wanting to debate their Obamacare replacement bill in the light of day, and accused Republicans of being responsible for thousands of American deaths if the bill is passed.

Warren went a step further, telling Sanders she thinks Republicans won’t pay any price politically “for the harm they inflicted upon millions of people across this country. It’s cynical.”

One can’t help but wonder in the wake of left-wing domestic terror acts perpetrated against Republicans: Will this rhetoric motivate another James Hodgkinson to take up arms against Republicans?
