HuffPo’s Jesse Benn: White NFL Players Who Stand for Anthem ‘Stand for White Supremacy’

Huffington Post writer Jesse Benn fancies himself Dad, partner, engaged citizen, opinionated writer, leftist, PhD student, can add another descriptive title to his pedigree: Clueless fool.

As Jesse Benn of the decidedly hard-left Huffington Post recently opined;

The absence of white athletes kneeling for the anthem Sunday was a particularly illustrative moment in white privilege.

See, for white athletes the anthem and American flag do represent freedom, liberty and whatever other amorphous American values one might ascribe these symbols. So, from their view, kneeling would be disrespectful to the privileges a white supremacist nation affords them.

Notice the very first word in the second paragraph? “See”.

Ever the pencil-necked liberal, Benn made a point of:

  1. Looking down his nose at us simpletons to explain to us why any given player of the Caucasian persuasion who has the bad manners to actually stand for the Star Spangled Banner and place his hand over his heart is actually a closeted cross burner.
  2. In a largely wasted effort, Benn takes a stab at proving how much smarter he is than the rest of us.

Ahh… but then comes the height of Leftist arrogance (emphasis mine);

We’ve all heard the typical argument against kneeling. “Kneeling during the anthem disrespects the flag and the soldiers who fought for your right to protest and blah blah blah patriotism!

Now, I’m not going to spend much time with the most obvious counter, but it’s worth stating. In the fairytale we Americans tell ourselves where soldiers fight wars for freedom and not imperial conquests, the story says they’re fighting for someone’s right to protest, not the opposite. So using the troops as a cudgel against protest wholly misunderstands even our own national fairytale.

So, that’s obvious enough, but what I’m talking about is this. If white athletes can’t fathom kneeling because they feel soldiers fought for their rights and blah blah blah patriotism, it’s because they are treated as full citizens and afforded those rights they imagine soldiers fought for.

Initially, did anyone notice any uniformed goons dragging Benn out of his undoubtedly comfortable bed in the middle of the night to lock him up in some far off American gulag? Neither did I.

Secondly, why didn’t someone tell me that I, like my father before me, am nothing more than a baby killer? I don’t remember killing any babies. Come to think of it, neither did my dad.

Ach… silly me. Benn’s smarter than the rest of of (*Slapping forehead* What was I thinking!?).

But if the name Jesse Benn rings a bell, it should. He’s the guy with a history of calling for organized violence aimed at those who disagree with him.

As reported last June by the Washington Free Beacon;

HuffPost writer Jesse Benn tweeted Wednesday that violent resistance must be organized to work.

Benn wrote that violent resistance needed to be organized and that individual acts of resistance were “counterproductive/ineffective,” but still understandable.

This is not the first time Benn has advocated for violence. Benn wrote a June 2016 article titled, “Sorry Liberals, a Violent Response to Trump Is as Logical as Any.” In the article, Benn said there was value in violently resisting the “normalizing” of then-candidate Donald Trump.

“In the face of media, politicians, and GOP primary voters normalizing Trump as a presidential candidate—whatever your personal beliefs regarding violent resistance—there’s an inherent value in forestalling Trump’s normalization,” Benn wrote. “Violent resistance accomplishes this.”

Speaking of his Twitter account, how do you like the last symbol at the end of his bio?

Raising a rebel. Married to #1 mom. Sporadic writer. Member of the Tribe. PhD student. No war but class war. Eat the rich. ☭

Here’s also an example of Benn’s alleged sense of humor (notice the hammer and sickle dead-center of the cartoon);

And if by chance you’re on the fence regarding Comrade Jesse, this is what he tweeted in the wake of the assassination attempt on Congressman Steve Scalise;

What a charmer.
