Man in the know: NoKo ICBMs can hit entire nation ‘other than Florida’

Donald Bacon, 55th Wing Commander, salutes the men and women attending his fini flight after being hosed down with a fire hose and champagne bottles from family and aircrew June 26 at Offutt Air Force Base, Neb. Rep. Bacon gives dire warning…

At first blush, Rep. Don Bacon comes off as a very loose cannon in the House of Representatives. To be honest, my first thought was that he was some big mouthed congressman from East Toilet Seat in desperate need of media attention.

As quoted by Karla James of the Nebraska Radio Network, Rep. Bacon stated “North Korea’s ICBM could hit anywhere other than Florida.”

Reporter James wen on to note;

Congressman Bacon says, “My view of it is we’ve only done sanctions half way. We should say that any country or business that does business with North Korea can’t do business with the United States. That would shut down banking and a lot of other things that the North Koreans depend on with China. We haven’t done that. We’ve only gone half way. Two – we need to be wiling to arm Japan at a much larger way than we have been. China fears Japan. That would force China to deal with this problem and we haven’t done that to the extent I think we could.”

Congressman Bacon says North Korea’s ICBM could hit anywhere other than Florida. Some sources say the prime targets are Washington D.C., San Diego, Barksdale AFB in Louisiana and Hawaii. Congressman Bacon says war is the last resort but we have to be prepared for it. He says more than one million people could be killed. He says North Korea has 7,000 artillery within range of Seoul so that is one of the many problems.

Yet upon further digging, it turns out that the Cornhusker congressman has quite the resume when it comes to the ins and outs of certain topics, such as thermo-nuclear war.

Having only recently been elected to the House, Bacon has the distinction of being the only Republican who defeated an incumbent Democrat in the 2016 House elections.

As he’s a member of a number of numerous committees and sub-committees, it’s noteworthy that Bacon is also a member of the following;

  • The House Armed Services Committee
  • Subcommittee on Military Personnel
  • Subcommittee on Tactical Air and Land Forces

Prior to being elected by the people of Nebraska’s Second Congressional District, Don Bacon was better known to the world as Brigadier General Don “Bits” Bacon, US Air Force.

Noteable tours of duty include;

  • CINCSAC intel briefer, Strategic Air Command Headquarters, Offutt AFB, Neb.
  • Squadron intel officer, 3d Tactical Fighter Squadron, Clark Air Base, Philippines
  • EC-130H/COMPASS CALL mission crew commander and flight commander, 41st Electronic Combat Squadron, Davis-Monthan AFB, Ariz.
