The entitled Ashley Sharpton, daughter of infamous race baiter Al Sharpton, was arrested the other night for petty larceny after she grabbed the keys from the cab she was riding in and tossed them away. Sharpton and three friends hailed down a cab with the friends sitting in the back and Sharpton sitting in the front seat.
According to the cabby, they told him to just drive. He was frustrated at not knowing where to drive to, so he stopped the cab so they could make up their mind. Sharpton grabbed the keys out of the ignition and allegedly tossed them away. The cab driver did not see the keys get thrown and demanded she give him his keys back. She told him she tossed them away.
One of Sharpton’s friends recorded the confrontation and it showed her punching the cabby in the chest. The police only charged her with petty theft and released her but more charges could be added at a later date.

Police say that they obtained footage from one of Sharpton’s friends that shows her allegedly hitting the driver in the chest.
Sharpton fled the scene before police officers found her on West 45th Street around 3:00 a.m. and took her into custody. Authorities gave her a desk appearance ticket and then released her.
Ashley Sharpton’s father, Al Sharpton, wished her a happy birthday on Twitter Friday, calling his daughter “a strong black woman and committed activist”.
Al Sharpton’s other daughter, Dominique, 31, also made headlines two years ago for suing New York City for $5 million after she tripped and fell on a street in Manhattan. A judge threatened to throw out the lawsuit in June, although the suit is ongoing.
In that suit, Sharpton’s daughter Dominique claimed that she sprained her ankle after having an accident in a pothole. The sprain was so bad that Sharpton claimed it kept her from going to court four times to testify under oath about the accident. It didn’t prevent her from spending a night out dancing and it certainly didn’t impede her from going mountain climbing in Indonesia.

The Rev. Al Sharpton’s daughter climbed an Indonesian mountain with a sprained ankle, but she can’t seem to make it from her Harlem apartment to answer questions under oath in lower Manhattan.
So now that Dominique Sharpton has missed four scheduled depositions in six months, a city lawyer is asking a judge to toss her $5 million slip-and-fall lawsuit against the city.
“The city’s numerous attempts to depose plaintiff have been futile and plaintiff has repeatedly and consistently failed to cooperate with the city,” de Blasio administration lawyer Michelle Fox says in court papers filed Wednesday.
The 29-year-old claims she was permanently injured when she tripped on uneven pavement while crossing Broome Street near Broadway on Oct. 2, 2014. Her suit faults the city for creating a dangerous condition by not repairing the cracked pavement.
It appears the bad apples did not fall far from the tree.
